She was born in Roswell on the 29th of March 1985. Gerina Michelle Mendoza has been her full name. Gerina Stevenson is a native of Mexico in the family of Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. She is both Mexican and American. She has always been a sports enthusiast. Gerina started playing golf at the age of 15. Gerina attended Goddard High School for her studies in high school. She won her place in the New Mexico State Golf Tournament during her senior year of high school. She was a volleyball player and also competed in state competitions. The year 2003 was the time she began her studies at The University of Texas. In her senior year, she was the winner of every competition she competed in. Through her college time, she was awarded the Conference USA's player of the season and UTEP's Female Athletic of the Year.
