Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actress and actor, is known for playing the lead in a variety of television shows as well as for her impressive performances in films. There is a huge fanbase in American and Canadian TV. Emily began acting at 12 after visiting her older sister Katie on one of Katie's films. After Emily discovered her passion for acting, she took taking classes in acting and auditions. The first time she auditioned was with small amount of advertisements and then was cast in Are You Afraid Of The Dark the Canadian horror film for children. She was only seen in only one scene and without dialogue. Her first major break at the age of 15 when she was cast as a regular on the WB program Glory Days. Although the show was canceled after just nine episodes, Emily's acting caught the eye of Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who decided to cast her in his television show Everwood. Emily was a professional dancer, and was also a photographer. Teen listed her as the number one actress in her 20s. In Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked her as number 51.
